昨今、サンウルブズのスーパーラグビー存続について言及するメディアの記事やSNSでの書き込みにより、ファンの皆さまには、大きな不安とご心配をおかけしていることと思います。誠に申し訳ございません。
Lately you may have some media coverage and SNS posts commenting about the future of the Sunwolves in Rugby. Some of these reports are unfortunate and we apologise if they raised any concern to our loyal fans.
それでも、サンウルブズを愛して、信じて、共に戦って下さる多くのファンの皆さまに、心から感謝申し上げます。本当にありがとうございます。サンウルブズはこれまでもこれからも、道無き道をゆく挑戦者であります。
日本のチームがスーパーラグビーという世界最高峰リーグへ参入するという夢のまた夢が実現し、誰もまだ見たことのない景色へ歩んでいる道半ばです。
We also thank all the fans who love us, believe in us and fight with us. We are a challenger who takes the road not taken. This is the dream that has come true – a dream that a Japanese team joins Super Rugby, the best rugby competition in the world. We have commenced our dream journey.
こうして迎えたスーパーラグビー参戦4シーズン目では、強豪のニュージーランドチームにアウェーで初勝利することもでき、確実にチーム力を向上させ高いパフォーマンスを発揮している最中と言えるでしょう。また、スーパーラグビー全体として観客動員に課題を抱える状況下、先日の国内開幕戦では1万4千人を超える方にご来場頂き、プロの興行として成立させる基盤が整っていることを指し示すことが出来つつあると思っております。
これもひとえに、どんな時も応援して下さるファンの皆さまのおかげと心より感謝しております。
2019, the 4th season for the Sunwolves, sees the earliest victory ever, first win against New Zealand team and first win in an away match. We are getting better and growing our game, season by season and week by week. Under the circumstances where Super Rugby has struggled to attract audiences to the stadium, Sunwolves has attracted more than 14 thousand people in the stadium at the opening match. We are gaining confidence to run the business as a professional team and all of this, is thanks to the fans who continually support us.
サンウルブズ存続のために我々が今出来ることは、下記の3点に愚直に取り組むことだと思っています。
Theses three actions which we can take for the future of Sunwolves. The following three actions will be our aim;
①高いパフォーマンスを披露し勝利を重ねることで、スーパーラグビーに対する存在感を指し示し、競技レベルの維持、向上に努めること。
To gain victories and show the true meaning of Sunwolves in the Super Rugby.
②ホーム試合における観客動員数をさらに増やし、メディア価値、スポンサー価値、付随するビジネス機会のポテンシャルを高めること。そして、日本、アジアのラグビーファンに対してスーパーラグビーの魅力を発信し続け、リーグにもたらすビジネス機会の貢献を指し示すこと。
To bring more crowds to the stadium so that we can enhance the value for media and sponsors which can create future business opportunities. To contribute to the business of Super Rugby by showing the spectacle and enjoyable rugby games to the fans in Japan and Asia.
③ファンが創り上げてきたサンウルブズ独自の応援文化とラグビーパーク化構想による観戦のエンターテインメント化を推進し、新しいラグビー観戦文化の醸成とラグビー普及に努めること。
To promote rugby through our home-grown culture which has been created by the fans and our rugby park projects which ultimately entertain our fans.
つきましては、ファンの皆さまに引き続きのお願いとなります。どうか、人生をかけて、日本ラグビーの未来をかけて戦う選手・チームと一緒に、この険しく先が不透明な茨の道を共に歩んでいただけませんでしょうか。
Therefore, let us ask a favour of you. We wish all of you to join us in our tough and courageous journey with the team, the players and the fans who can ensure a strong future for Rugby in Japan.
そこで、皆さんの想いをカタチにして、スーパーラグビーの運営機構であるSANZAARへサンウルブズファンの声を届けるべく、下記のプロジェクトを開催いたします。
We hereby introduce the project by which all the fans can send your thoughts of Sunwovles to SANZAAR who runs the Super Rugby.
■ビッグジャージへ想いを綴ろう
実施内容：サンウルブズのスーパーラグビー存続に対する想いや応援メッセージを
ビッグジャージへお書きください。
実施日時：3/16（土）国内第2戦 後半開始～試合終了後30分程度
実施場所：秩父宮ラグビー場バックコンコース
■Writing your wish on the big jersey
What you will do: write down your messages to Sunwolves on the jersey
Date and time: After the match on March 16th
Venue: back concourse of Prince Chichibu Memorial Stadium.
サンウルブズが削減対象と決まったわけでも、サンウルブズがミッションや夢をあきらめたわけでもありません。
We yet know if Sunwolves will go nor give up our dream and mission. We will never give up on the Sunwolves, our dream and our mission.
我々は、世界とたたかい日本を強くすることへ真摯に立ち向かい続けます。
そして、日本が世界の手本となる日まで、歩み続けます。
We challenge the world, and redefining Japan.
We take pride in Japan and inspire the world.
